Great "family style" sit down place for breakfast or lunch while in Lancaster PA.The Apple butter and whipped butter are both amazing!The meal doesn't start until the entire table is seated (around 20 people) and then you "share" the lemonade or regular (un sweetened) ice tea but there's bread (from the bakery below) to get you started.The fried chicken and the mashed potatoes were my favorite!Not a big fan of the saltine pudding but others loved it.Buttered noodles were also a good treat.Dessert is a variety of pies and ice creamWill definitely be making a stop next time we're in Lancaster.

Prices are expensive for a home cooked meal, especially for children. ($86.00 for a 4 people) Service is top notch. Food has been better in the past. The fried chicken is usually the children’s favorite and was over cooked this visit. Ham loaf is really good and the vegetables.

Always love coming here for the family style dining. Those buttered noodles and fried chicken are amazing! The shoefly pie is one of the best out there!
